Design Table Color Question?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the color of a feature from the design table.

Its says to use $color but i can't get it to work.

ex: The feature is the same for all but I want to change the color of it for different circumstances.

Correct Answer

The design table can only control configuration specific colors, not feature specific colors.

You will have to feed the color number in the DT to get it working.

  I Tried that.
  
  Not sure what format to use in the DT...
  
  I tried $color@coating coating is the name of the feature.
  
  then put the interger of the color in the row...
  
  this doesnt seem to work though...????

  Mark is there not some kind of walkaround for this, i have tried using individual design tables for each part (to chnage its colour), then saving them as an external file and linking them through a 'master' external excel sheet which is linked to the main assembly.however i have had no luck.Anyone got any better ideas?
