SolidWorks 2010 SP1.0 upgrade from 2009 SP4.0

Question asked by Rob Neff on Jan 19, 2010

Hi everyone,

I am using the active directory installation method using an administrative image.  The upgrade completes o.k. except it leaves SolidWorks 2009 SP4.0 in the add remove program list. There is nothing refering to 2009 SP4.0 in the program files or the directory structure and 2010 SP1.0 runs fine. When I uninstall the SolidWorks 2009 SP4.0, it says that it is uninstalling Simulation and Motion.  After that installation SolidWorks 2010 SP1.0 still runs and our Simulation and Motion options are still installed.  Why are these options being left behind.  Am I missing an option using swcreate.exe?  I posted my command below.

“D:\SolidWorks 2010 SP1.0\SwCreateMST.exe” “D:\SolidWorks 2010 SP1.0\SolidWorks.msi” InstallDir=”C:\Program files\Solidworks” SOLIDWORKSSERIALNUMBER=”my serial number” SERVERLIST=”25734@my server” ADDLOCAL=SolidWorks,English,Intel_Modules_AgeiaX86 OFFICEOPTION=3 SWMIGRATE=”SolidWorks 2009 SP04”
