I have created an admin image of SW 2010 using command prompt for deployment via AD. What is the process for applying SP2 to the image I created. When I attempt to update the existing image I get an error which says the image was not created using the installation manager. Do I need to just do a full download and create a new image that way, or am I missing the method to patch a copy of my current image?

I'm getting ready to embark on my first attempt at an Active Directory deployment also, so an answer to your question would be awesome.
Having read and reread the installation manual guide a few times now, it seems that the answer is that AD patches take the form of a conventional patch- users must have installed from an image in a Share folder; you use the patch to make a new image into a new folder, then you remove the share from the original folder and make the new patched folder a share with the same name. Then it updates the next time a user starts SW.
I'd love to hear if I'm wrong, or if anyone else has patched an Active Directory installation yet...?
