I have a weldment part and I want to insert a hinge and weld it as shown in the picture. I downloaded the model of a hinge, saved it as a part file and inserted it into the weldment part. Now this works great but the hinge part I inserted created 3 solid bodies in my weldment part. Is there a way I can combine the hinge bodies into one so the BOM will be correct? I tried to open the hinge and combine the bodies but it fails everytime.
