I have assemblies inserted into another assembly. These assemblies occur in the majority of my "upper" assy configs. Sometimes when I create a new config of the "upper" assembly, I can not get the mates of the "lower" assy to unsuppress. I have gone into the mates of a config that has good mates and "unsuppressed all config".
This could get REAL heavy if I have to add mates to all my new configs of the "upper" assy.
Any tricks to make these mates unsuppress?
For future configs;
Right mouse click the configs in the FM and select Properties.
Under Advanced Options, deselect Suppress new features and mates.
For existing configs, select all mates and unsuppress.

I can not make the change on the advanced options. I would really be hindering my modeling on other configs if it did not suppress new features and mates right?
that is just the thing... on this config, when I select the mates I want to unsuppress, they just WILL NOT unsuppress. I have gone about it several ways. i.e. group selecting and unsuppressing, doing it one at a time, restarting SW and then trying to unsuppress... no luck yet.

That depends upon what you are trying to achieve. Sometimes new features and mates are needed on all configs.
Are the mates suppressed when the sub-assy is opened separately?
Are you in Edit Assy mode when trying to unsupress the mates?
Are the mates related to parts or features which have been suppressed?
Figured out that it was a "bug". When mates will not UNSUPPRESS in a config, right click on ONE of the mates and "configure feature". Check the box for the ACTIVE config and hit OK. All the mates will be freed up to unsuppress at that point.
