Can someone please help.
How can I set up a computer to switch between Professional and Premium licenses (with out going through the 'Add/Remove' programs).
I have purchased network licenses of both Professional and Premium.How can you load one license type as a opposed to the other.What I would like if possible is two desktop icons, one for Professional the other for Premium.

Your network license takes care of that for you. You don't need to switch anything. If you install all the Premium options you don't actually use the Premium license until you start using one of the Premium options. So if you look in your usage on the License Administrator and start up SW you will only see you are using a Standard seat. If you start using Professional stuff you will automatically check out a license for that... and so on and so forth.

One more question, this might be sound stupid.
From what you have said, I therefore don't need to specify specific license numbers to individual machines.
I just need to do a complete installation of Solidworks Premium (so all features are installed).
Then through the 'Addins', the network license manager works out what license is needed.

your serial numbers are not the same for your SNL?
Yes, if you have a complete installation of Premium on all your client machines the SNL determines what level of license you are required to have based on what you start running. I don't have Premium, only Pro, so I install Pro on every client, then everyone has access to all features as long as a seat is available. And actually (sure you know this) but with the Admin Image you can specify by computer name what exactly gets installed.
You will always be using one standard seat just to get SW running. Actually if you look at your seats available on your Administrator it should make more sense (hopefully). I just took these screenshots:
I don't have 10 standard seats. I have 6 standard, 3 office, and 1 Pro (total=10). But in order to use Office or Pro, the SNL takes a standard out of the pool. As you can see "rlucia" is using some features out of Office so he is listed as using Standard and Office even though he is only running one SW. As soon as he stops using Office features he won't be listed under the Office usage, but still will be under Standard. That's how all your seats can be floating constantly.
Not sure if it can be done in either way. With the Premium version you get some add ins (like routing, Tolerance Stack-up, Simulation, etc.) as compared to what you have in SW professional.
