.sldnotefvt or .sldnotestl  ?

Question asked by Grant Sonneman on Dec 23, 2009

In my current design library, there are lots of .sldnotefvt files which can be dragged onto prints. You need to look at the files from Windows to see the extension. You can drag these notes onto your drawings from within the Solidworks design library or from a Windows folder.

When I create a note in a drawing and right click, add to library, I only have the option of saving as a .sldnotestl (style favorite). You can still drag the notes into drawings the same way.

What is the different between the files? How can I create a .sldnotefvt file?

We recently switched from SW2008 to SW2009 sp4.
