I have installed SW2010 and run the restore settings wizard. I have selected the sldreg file but the 'next' button remains greyed out and I am unable to continue.
Any ideas on whats wrong?
Do you have full administrator rights and permissions?
Try removing the sld portion of the .sldreg extension, and then double-click the resulting .reg file.
I used this option for 2009, I hope it could work for you as well. This will reset EVERY option in SolidWorks.
goto Start -> run type "regedit" and press enter.
Now to go HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> SolidWorks
Rename the SolidWorks folder to SolidWorks_old
SolidWorks will now create a new entry in the registry editor
Thanks Kelvin, that did it.
Is the fact that some users cannot restore their settings due to admin rights?, we have always had this problem.
