Hi,

I have an assembly where I want to add a stiffener on the outside of one web face.

So with the assembly open i go insert -- create -- new part.

I then select a face to sketch on and sketch the stiffener width, I then dimension so it's in correct position.

I now want to extrude this sketch so the height is flush with the top of the red flange (125mm).

However when I go to Assembly features there is no Extrude option, only extrude cut, holes etc.

My question is how do I extrude a sketch to create a new part while in an assembly.

This is first time i've tried this usualy parts are created before assembly.
