Hey All,
I just recently installed 2010 and few things have changed which resulted in minor confusions!
When i try to open SimXpress, as the window opens, but all the lines are blacnk and when i move over the lines, "no active document" pops up. I have watched almost any tutorials and help documents and didnt find anything on the issue. Attached is a picture of what i see upon opening SimXpress.
Please Advise
Thanks
Hi Paul,
I've not seen this particular before, and I've installed and reinstalled many builds of 2010. It sounds like a resource corruption or something missing from the install.
If you are able to, I would use SolidWorks RX to capture your system info and then submit it to your reseller for diagnosing the problem.
The only thing I typically do if I get a problem where the interface is not up to date or corrupt is to delete my current user settings from the registry. If you know what you're doing, this is fairly painless, but if you are not familiar with editing the registry, do not try it as it can be catastrophic if you make a mistake (like delete a critical part of the registry for windows).
Oh, one other thought, are you running this on an English OS or is it in another language.
Cheers,
Ian
Hi Ian,
As far as ReEdit, I think ill be better off not mess with it. As far as the language, it is on an English OS.
Thanks for the tip though
Hi Paul,
I am having the same problem. Just installed 2010 SP0 on a Windows 7 64 OS (Macbook Pro running bootcamp). Did you ever find a solution?
Thanks,
Aaron
Exit Solidworks, turn off your user account control...re-enter Solidworks and it should work. I found this solution in Solidworks knowledge base.
