I downloaded the version of pdm server that corresponds the the version and service pack number we're running for SolidWorks. After installing, I'm not seeing an icon anywhere to start the vault admin.

Is there something more you have to do after installing the software?

Correct Answer
The vault admin is not installed by default when installing the server. It must be installed separately. You can get there by navigating thru the windows control panel to "add/remove software". Then find the "Solidworks" listing and do a "repair this installation". Follow thru the dialog boxes and you will arrive at one that has a list of items that are to be installed or not. In the PDMWorks list, there is a box that must be selected for Vault Admin. That should allow installing to take place.
