I have recently installed (network) SW2007 on a new machine with Windows 7 and all WAS fine. Used for a couple of days. I then installed a sp upgrade from 0.0 to 2.1 and now I am getting the following error message when starting SW,
"Your limited life version of Solidworks has expired"
OK is only option and then Solidworks closes.
Then, I tried to install another sp from 2.1 to 4.0 but get the following message (not sure why I didn't get this on the first upgrade).
"The MSI file selected for installation does not match the current operating system.
You must use the matching installation for your operating system."
Any suggestions on the limited life version? Also, not currently on subscription service so no access to get latest sp's, if one is available, for Windows 7.
Thanks, Tim...
Your not going to get much help with 2007 on Win 7, too old of a version.
iirc, 2007 sp3.1 was the first release of solidworks that was vista compatible.
Your best bet would be to try to run it in the Windows XP Mode that Win7 has.
