Looking back throught the forums I can see that I am not alone in having issues with cosmetic threads in detail drawings so hopefully someone will have an answer for this.

I have a part with a threaded hole that is mirrored and in the detail drawing of the part I have created a broken-out section across this hole in order to make the requirement clear. The threaded hole in the part is set to show the cosmetic thread and the dashed lines depicting the thread show up beautifully in the broken out section. However the cosmetic thread on the mirrored hole also show up on the detail drawing (see attached screendump) and if I right click on the unwanted thread to hide it the cosmetic thread in my broken out section also disappears.

No matter what I do the cosmetic threads between the seed hole and the mirrored holes are indivisible. I am loathe to break the mirror as this is key to the associativity my design. Does any on have any ideas at?

I am using SW 2009 SP4.1 on Windows XP Pro (SP3)

Many thanks
