I have a setup created that is giving me fits...
I am trying to mate two faces that are .0001° out of parallel. Is there a way to adjust the tolerance that SW looks at for the parallel function.
Are other mates preventing the surfaces from being mated parallel?
Perhaps the problem face is not truly perpendicular to an adjacent face which is being referenced in another mate? A sketch profile not fully constrained?
Try creating another assy with only the parts involved with the problem part, and then re-create the mates.
can you not just use the angle mate and a coincident edge mate?
parallel means just that and i doubt there is a tol you can adjust since sw uses dbl precision (i think)
In those instances I generally try to determine what's out of kilter and fix that. But if that's now a choice, try just mating a corner or midpoint to pull it over.
