Hey Guys,
I have been getting this problem alot and to solve it I usually have to completely quit out of Solidworks then load the drawing back in to get the correct drawing toolbars(Sometimes a complete restart is required before the correct toolbars load). I am using Solidworks 2008 SP3.1. I am just wondering if anyone else has a better solution to fixing this problem other then rebooting Solidworks.
Hi Andrew,
There were some issues causing this behavior in earlier service packs of SolidWorks 2008, generally relating to creating or opening a drawing from a part or opening a drawing by double click from Windows Explorer when a part is active. The cases that we are aware of were fixed in SolidWorks 2008 SP5. Also, in the cases that we looked at, the behavior does not occur if using other open methods (File/Open, drag and drop from Windows Explorer, etc.). If the CommandManager is in this state, a workaround in the cases we tried is to close the drawing and re-open it using one of the methods that does not cause the problem.
Thanks,
Jim
