Connecting to SolidWorks using VB.net and Solidworks x64

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 x64 and SolidWorks x64 2010 from Windows XP x86 and Solidworks 2009 x86 and to my suprise my own-coded standalone application no longer worked. I am running Visual Studio 2005 and coding with vb.net.

Before I connected to SolidWorks through:

     swApp = GetObject(, "SldWorks.Application")

which no longer works what so ever. Instead I connect to SolidWorks through

     swApp = New SldWorks.SldWorks

Which works sometimes and sometimes not. Sometimes the code get's stuck on that line, sometimes the codes fires up a new instance of SolidWorks and sometimes it's connected but the work is not shown, even though documents are flagged as visible.

Am I missing something? I can't seem to find what makes it work and what reasons makes it not work.

Thankful for any advice,

Fred
