Just seeking a second opinion. I am in the process of upgrading our workstations, Dell Precision 380 (original build late 2006). I intend to install Win7, 64bit version and also to upgrade the memory to the motherboard's maximum of 8GB, currently using 3GB switch. The current memory is ECC however I heard that non-ECC memory could operate faster. Would it be feasible to use non-ECC memory in this upgrade? All suggestions are welcomed.
