When using the command forming tools, I want one surface as shown in the picture attached below, visible cuts or translucent. Is something wrong when I make forming tools? Please advice
give the cutting face of the forming tool the red 255,0,0 colour.
'save as' type Form Tool (.sldftp)
I think you have made the face of the sheetmetal, where you want the tool to make the cut, red instead/also.
The sheetmetal does not need colour, only save the form tool with a red face.
Change the color of that face in your forming tool to Red.
Post your form tool for us to try.
Thanks Larsen & Anna,
Finally I succeed to make cuts in red 255,0,0 color.
Are you willing to explain in more detail, why this can happen only with a change in color?
when the user makes a face of the form tool that specific shade of red it is just a way to identify within the program that the face is to be used to cut.
where the program finds red on a form tool = order to cut here.
where there is no red on the form tool = no cut made...just make the indent.
the colour is just a way that the programmer decides is an easy way for the user to say/show which case is which and where it goes.
Here is a blog post I did a while back explaining why I do not use the forming tool wizard. I use old school methods for creating forming tools. The form tool examples in the SW Design Library use old school methods.
