It will allow you to insert a view of a single or multiple bodies onto a drawing, you can only do this if you already have a full view of the weldment part.
You can create a standard note that is linked to one or more cut list item properties (I use the description & material) and then add a 'split balloon' that shows item number & qty, remove the leader and move it to the appropriate place within your linked note (see attached screen shot). This is extremely quick and is parametric.
Note: to make the linked note work you must cut or copy and paste it onto either a surface or edge of the relative view part for it to pick up the link to the items cut list properties.
If i selected a patterned feature under the scope option --> Selected Bodies, and the number of patterened instances changes for that body, the relative view will not update to show newer bodies as they were not selected initially(they will update to show fewer bodies, but not the other way around). Is there a way to get the functionality of the relative view but have it update when number of instances of a pattern changes increases?
I've never done Relative View on your scenario, butI don't see how this would be possible becase the original Property Manager for the Relative View is not editable.
A work arround for your issue would be to use Displays States, but this would only be possible on SW 2010
A dialog box comes up and you can save all the bodies and name them also.
