the main issue is that when we manually re-order an item in a weldment cut-list, it's item number does not change.

I would think the item numbers would never change and stay on order.

Also there's another bug that needs to be fixed BAD... and it's been around a long time. If you have the title at the bottom of the bom the item numbers don't sort correctly.

Does anyone else need these fixed?

I have seen, and struggled, with both of these. I usually just use the column sort feature which will re-number the item numbers but then you can't drag them to where you want.

One workaround would be to create a property in the cutlist and number the bodies as you want them to appear on the drawing then sort the cutlist in the drawing by that column and then hide it. It's not easy but if it is critical then it works.

It would be nice to have these fixed as it is a pain.

Thanks Lorne that worked a treat for me this morning. yes there should be a property of each item so you can give an order number like your tip but without creating a columm.

I'd second Lorne's workaround. That's the technique I use to sort the cutlist. One thing I'll say - if the number of items in your cut list is in double or triple figures, make sure all numbers have sufficient digits to get the order as you want it, e.g. if you have CutList Items 1 thru 10 numbered 1, 2, 3 etc then Item 10 will order before Item 2. You need to number as 01, 02 up to 10.
