I am using the weldment feature to create handrails. The problem is with the length of the coped pipe.

Example: center to center distance of 2 upright posts is 10ft. The pipe connecting the 2 uprights is coped at each end using the soildworks trim/extend feature for weldmants. The length of the coped pipe shows in the cut list as 10ft. It should be 9'-11".

Is there a way to modify the cut list calculations for this? Maybe adding a formula to subtract 1/2" for each cope?

Any suggestions?

I appologize but I am not understanding how the fishmouth feature works.

In the example you sent me, you used 1.5" pipe. With the correct cope the overall length should be 1 1/8" (9/16" per side) less than the center to center distance of the uprights. Your pipe is 1" less. 1/2" per side is correct for 1 1/4" pipe.

I tried changing your pipe to 1 1/4" but then could not get the fishmouth to work.

What am I not doing correct?

Thanks again for the help.
