Weldment gaps

Thanks, that worked great. Sometimes the answer to our problems are right under our noses.

I was a little skepical at first because I have heard other poeple say they had problems with there cut list doing it this way.

Does anyone know of a way to leave a gap between two weldments without manually editing the cutlist lengths.
I tried trimming to a plane but solidworks wont go that way. I also tried to manually change by adding a -.375 to the length custom property with no luck.
Is there an easy way to do this.
I am using Solidworks 2006 SP3.4

for structrual members with square ends, alter the path segment.
try extruded-cut for angled structrual members.

Hi Kennenth...

Could you post a picture, I want to know your tricks ....
As I know, using "TEKLA" we can make a gap between member with very easy.
When will solidworks have this capability ?
