I believe this is a common problem in SW. Just want to clarify...
When in a weldment, and I want to 'Insert into New Part' one of the members, Regardless of my settings under Default Templates (which is set to prompt)
Solidworks does not ask me what Part Template I want to use. Therefore all my parts derived from my weldments are all missing my list of Custom Properties...
As I understood the question, the problem is that "new inserted part" from weldment doesn't show up custom properties of PART TEMPLATE. If you are talking about transfering custom properties of cut-list folder to new inserted part it definitely doesn't work.
Excellent!.. Thanks for the info.. guess 2005 SP5.0 cant do it.... least now I know the problema is fixed in 2006, and this can be a valid procedure for us
