Hello All,
I am constantly being asked to "activate" my SolidWorks licence, even though I have a perpetual licence. I have managed to regain
the licence by running through the process a few times, and then the "activation" request pops up again at apparently random times. What I would like to know is what is or would trigger the "activation" request?
I am running SW2008 SP3.1 with SW installed on a second drive, OS is Win7 Professional on drive 1.
This is my "home" installation. The installation at "work" is fine on an XP machine. The company has
no maintenance running either.
Any Ideas?
TIA Fred.
Hi Greg,
No, Both drives are internal, and I don't (normally) need to mess about
with them.
Fred.
Thanks anyway Greg
One thing that may have caused a problem in this last case is I renamed a partition
on disk 1, or at least renamed it in Windows. It doesn't explain why activation is
triggered on other occasions though, or how I am able to get the licence back
on occasions.
Fred.
Just to add that I have managed to get my licence back, but I am now VERY nervous
about doing anything that will kill it again.
