I can create an empty folder on any drive & point it to that new folder and get this same prompt. I have tried it in the root directory of the drive and also inside of another folder and still get the same message. The only way it will download is if I leave it download to the default download folder WHICH has all of the previous download folders from both 2009 & 2010 in that folder.
John, sorry for missing it out. I just tried it out and it works fine for me. I was able to set the download location to Desktop and it started downloading good with no errors.
Try it on a machine having no SolidWorks.
I don't get that either. I always down loaded the services packs to a seperate
folder location on the network for easy access and then after downloading
would launch it. At worst I had to browse out to where my Solidworks resided.
Never ever seen this.
What SP are you trying to down load?
Why don't you try downloading it off the Soldiworks sight again just incase the first
one got corrupted.
I'm experiencing this same situation, were you able to resolve the issue? I too have never experienced this before and have downloaded SW 20+ times.
