Sorry. It is a missunderstanding.
I have some Sw2009 files, I open them with Sw2010, it appear to be older normally, but save or save as function are not effect. When I try to close a file it appear a save message box, again w/o effect.
More that I used SW task Scheduler/update files, with the some result.
Hoping to be more accurate.
Hi Irina,
I was able to open and save your file using SolidWorks 2010. The "Save" button and "File-Save" menu item are both available to perform the save operation. The following warning dialog is displayed upon saving since you have an "older version file".
If the problem continues, please send a screen shot of your SolidWorks session to help give us a better idea of the state of your session.
Best Regards,
John
Are you trying to Save As a SW2009 as an example?
It is not possible in any version of SW to save to an earlier version.
Best you can do is save as a parasolid and open in the older version of SW as a dumb solid.
This is true of all the major 3D parametric software packages, not just SW.
Or are you asking a different question?
Cheers,
Anna
