I've got a sheet metal part that I used closed corner, and welded corner, and then filet the welded corner. This worked great, however when I unsupress the flat pattern the filet breaks. Is this normal? Do I have an option set wrong? Is there another way to do this? I don't have to do a welded corner, but couldn't figure out how to get a continuous filet across the closed corner.

Here is an alternate solution for you using surfacing techniques. For a part like this you typically model inside of metal or the side that will hold water.
If we had a bit more info on what the part is for and what manufacturing technique you wish to use, there may be better modeling techniques for the manufacturing process you will use.
The part I have modeled can't be flattened in SW using the normal sheet metal tools. With the corner formed like this you are drawing metal in multiple directions. There will be both stretching and compression of metal in the corner. A blank can be developed in add-in software such as BlankWorks or Logopress3, and others. There are also good old fashion manual drafting techniques for developing the blank, which we used before computers.

Yes, that would be normal. The weld is not there anymore in the flat pattern so your fillet can't be associated with the welded corner and it will break.
