The data needs to be re-organized into a format fabtrol can read. We were saving our BOM's to .txt files and then one of our engineers was converting it using a personal VB program he created. He is no longer here, and I am looking for a utility that another SW user might have had success with.
Thanks,
Brandon
FabSuite is a fabrication management software package that can import information from many different formats.
If bill of material information can be exported to a delimited file format (tab, comma, etc.) then it is very easy to get that into FabSuite. Usually that type of export will have the description of each field as the first line of data. FabSuite has a flexible import that will read those descriptions and bring the information into the appropriate FabSuite field.

What types of files does FabTrol read in (import) besides KISS?
You can do a Save As on the SW BOM into a number of different formats. Can you convert to an in between format, then import that tweener format into FabTrol?
Cheers,
