I just recently installed solid works 2009 in a lab of computers. They were all imaged from one master machine which had the client software on it. I then installed the HASP and the network server software on one machine. I followed all the defaults including port 25734@computername. This worked once. The server machine can run the solidworks software but none of the client computers can run it. I have tried all the troubleshooting ( I can ping the server by IP, by name (not by port number)), all the machines are connected through a LAN (and too a degree the WAN) but none of them see the solidworks licence server. I verified that the names are correct (even to the point of case style), they are all in the same workgroup/ip range etc..
I need help on this...
Did you verify that Windows Firewall is either turned off or has the port exceptions added? Remember that if you did not choose the 'Firewall in Use' option on the server that the daemon port will not be static, thus making it harder to open the correct port(s) for it.
God Bless,
Chris
