Is it expected that sketch relations in a Layout will be listed as mates?
Do not use Layout feature... use standard sketches, layout feature in my opinion was a "show" for former PTC users... and do not offer any advantage over standard sketches but they create some problems (particularly when doing top-down, which is preciselly for what they where created).
I will be happy to get US$ 1.00 discount on a new license in exchange for loosing the layout feature...
I have been playing with Layout sketches today and get weird behavior.
- Sketches in assembly that reference the Layout features (whether or not in blocks) don't rebuild correctly (i'm using configurations)
- Sketch relations that work in a normal sketch seem not to work in Layout
I've noticed subtle differences between layouts and regular sketches
First when you add a relation between a component and a layout sketch segment, the component moves to the sketch instead of the other way around.
the Layout sketch is solved before the component mates, so converting entities from existing components will produce unusual update behaviors and potentially circular references.
