design table formula problem

I am trying to enter a simple formula in a design table. The formula shows correct in the formula bar, the calculated result is correct, but clicking ok, OR hitting enter just puts the formula in the cell, not the result. SW2009 sp0

Correct Answer

Mike,

 

Look at the format of the cell, odds are it is set to "Text". Change the format to "General" and it will update as you would expect.
