I am trying to dimension a sheet file to an apex (45 deg bend). I find myself drawing little sketch lines every time I need to dimension bends that are not 90 deg, I know there has to be an easier way?
Chris, I think you're asking about Virtual Sharps? Read some on the help files, I use them many times on sheet metal drawings myself.
Steve, Thanks found it, but its basically sketching a point to dimension to which is what I have been doing.
Just figured there was and easier way?
open a drawing, go to options, then document options, then detailing and check the fillet center mark.
Greg, I did check that and now when I select the outside radius in each corner for dimensioning it brings the line to the tangent of the rad.
Am I doing something wrong?
No star or point visible?
You need to use the Insert > Model Items for Greg's method to apply.
or Show the sketch to see the VS for manual dimensioning.
