Where do newbies/students post questions? The Solidworks website directs students to the Education Forum, but this seems geared towards educators, not new users.

It's been quite a challenge so far and I have lots of stupid questions. My instructor isn't much help (i.e. "I don't know why that doesn't work either.").

No one else has this question

  Thanks. It was a challenge to register since a student version serial number isn't considered valid, and the customer portal page indicated the forums were locked out unless you had a regular license.

Hi Horst,

I have written a complete SolidWorks tutorial package about modeling, assembling and rendering a complete chopper in SolidWorks.
The package is separated in 15 tutorials which will explain step by step the main features of SolidWorks. It's much cheaper as a course and you will learn a lot of it. Perhaps this is something for you. Check it out at http://www.solidworksmodel.com
