Could you be a little more specific on your request. Are you looking for client side performance comparison or server side comparison?
here my question is, In our company plan to move Sw'x 64 bit software . i would like to know how they perfomed when if its used as client or server.
we need both results.
We are currently running EPDM 2009 SP3.0. We have SW users who use both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows / SW. There is no issue with crossing the platforms in the vault, as the vault just stores the data.
i am not sure if i understand correctly , my question was ,i like to know the performance comparison b/w sw'x 32 and 64 bit either its may be client or server . also there is no question \ issues for using both the version together.
There really won't be any performance difference between the two with the exception of the server end. The client(s) do not use that many resources, so the benefit of x64 (more memory) is really not advantageous to EPDM Clients. On the Server end, this is an advantage as the database server will run SQL and it can become a memory beast as more and more people connect/query the system.
The area you may see a difference is in stability, depending on the OS you are using. In general XP64 is not a very stable software (based on my past history of clients running it).
