I have no Idea what happened here but for some reason now PV360 does not work. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled several times and deleted any leftover files but everytime I start I get this.... Any Ideas?
There is another post somewhere in the PV360 area that talks about deleting your registry and config files and then reinstalling. This seems to be the best way to solve these types of issues.
Here it is. This is from Ron Bates.
"There is a "master config" file that stores a lot of session information for 360. Killing this file might restore your UI (and all default 360 settings).
Looks like you're running XP, in which case it would be at:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Luxology
Or on Vista/Win7 at:
The file for 360 2009 is SWPV360.CFG. But you can actually delete everything in that folder to be sure."
Any error message?
Did you install from a download, or Installation Disc?
AV on or off? (Shouldn't matter, but ....)
Video card and driver?
No error message.
Installed from download (twice, downloaded .exe tried that one, deleted it, downloaded it again, same result)
AV is on
Im running a Dell M4400 with an m7700, 188.8.131.5250 driver from SolidWorks website
It was running fine a couple of weeks ago, but im not sure what all has changed between then and now.
Its doing it again! I restarted my machine and tried it again and Its back to having the same problem, so i deleted the config file and tried it again and it works. This is going to get very anoying if i have to do this every time.
I figured out what was causing the problem ( I don't know WHY but at least I know the culprit). I have been using a program called Circle Dock and when I dragged a shortcut to it, it would corrupt PV360. I have no Idea why its doing this but for now at least im keeping the shortcut on my desktop instead of in Circle Dock. I have tons of other programs and shortcuts in it, including SolidWorks and never had any problems. If anyone has any ideas as to why let me know.
