Hello !

i am new to SolidWorks, and i would like to test my hardware configuration with SW2009, a kind of real life test

i have installed the software using the web installation tool (i am now using SW2009 SP 4.1)

my hardware is configured as follows :

  • OS : Windows XP Pro 32 bits
  • CPU : Intel Q9400
  • RAM : 8 GB installed, but only 3GB seen by the OS (planned update to Seven 64 bits when available) - swap is turned off for performance issues
  • Graphics card : DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, and OpenGL 2.0

my graphics card is not listed in the "official" list ... however, up to now, it seems that SW2009 runs fine, and quite fast enough for my needs !

well, i am a beginner, my needs are not requiring computing needs for thousands of elements ... but i would like to be sure that my configuration will not crash or freeze ramdomly

so my question is : where could i find typical huge SW example files for such (crash) tests ?

thanks for your help

Laurent
