I will start this by saying that I am using an Unsupported OS.
I am running SolidWorks 2009 SP4.1 under Windows 7RC1 64Bit. Every now and then, and I can't put my finger on the cause, Solidworks will slow to a crawl. Everything will get painfully slow. When I check task manager, SLDWORKS.EXE is consuming 99% of the CPU. When I click on the "Performance" tab, all four cores are pegged. That is something seeing as Solidworks (as far as I know) doesn't even use the other three cores.
I'm running a Dell Precision 390 with decent specs. When this is running correctly, I have plenty power. This happens in a flash, and seems to go away for a while with nothing more than restarting SolidWorks. I don't need to restat the computer though sometimes I do just to feel safer.
Anybody seen anything like this?
