Just noticed that the 3DVIA Mobile app was free on the app store.
Models must have less than 40 000 triangles and must be flagged as downloadable (it's related to the licencing policy you set with your model).
The triangles restriction has been set to always give a smooth user experience and keep a decent frame rate (the 3D rendering is realtime on
the iPhone). In next updates, we will specifically address the iPhone 3GS to increase the threshold (80 000 triangles should be addressable).
Given these restrictions you can upload any model on 3DVIA.com from your PC.
The standard file formats are supported (3DXML for example).
3dvia.com will publish soon a page dedicated to exporting models for 3DVIA Mobile. It will explain in details what I tell here briefly.
Alright.. If anyone can figure out how to get a SolidWorks file to display in it, post here. The 3Dxmls that the File..Publish to 3DVIA menu item sends are "not available on the iPhone"
And sending .smg files to 3DVIA doesn't work at all.
