i have an assembly and some parts that need a pin strip down the middle of them. is there a way i can add this to say a ramp, with out using the extruding, or cutting into the object?
Use Insert>Curve>Split Line...
You can probably do this with a sketch. Just sketch a rectangle that represents the pin stripe, and make sure it is the width of the stripe, and extends farther than the part on either end. Then use that sketch for the split line.
