General doubt

Dear all,

My system is connected to network(lan),one part/assem file is opened in other system.If I open same part/assem file its coming read-only.Is there any possibility not to get read-only.

Tools>Options>System Options>Collaboration

Check Enable multi-user environment to ON.

You dont want more than one person changing a file at a time. If you want to use the file, do a save as and rename it as a new part.

  I agree with Tony, you typically never want two people to have the same file open at the same time with both having the ability to save. That would create a "he who saves last wins scenario". From a CAD Managers point of view I would never allow that to be the case in my environment.
