Here is a bit of background...I am building a model of a consumer product, and one of the important features in the assembly documentation is the text and graphics on the label, therefor I would like to show that on the model to start with, and in assembly documents eventually.  The label text is too involved to extrude as a feature, so I would like to make it a texture or surface finish (I think).

I am running Solidworks Premium 2009 SP 4.1 on a machine with a not overly great graphics card (IE: No Realview).

I can use Photoworks to apply a Surface Finish with the JPG of the label text, and get it looking good and proper, but as soon as I hit the checkmark in the property manager, the surface finish disapears.  If I click "Edit Apperance" the surface finish shows up again.

Any suggestions on to what I might be doing wrong?  I can post screen shots if need be...
