Does anyone know if its possible to download the service packs onto our work network and install them from there to my work pc instead of installing them directly onto the c : drive the service packs are taken allot of room up on my work pc currently they are going into my documents solidworks downloads.
From the customer portal, click on Downloads and Updates, select the Solidworks tab, select the product that you want to update, and agree to the contract. At the bottom of the Download and Install page, there is a link to Download, Unzip, and Install All the Files. Click on it. Select the service pack that you want, and it will download. You can then store it wherever you want. Make sure you talk to your network administrator, though. He might have space constraints. I get rather peeved when my users store multi-gigabyte files on my network because it keeps my tape backups from running.
Good luck!
