I am having a problem when I try to open a file from Solidworks. If I go to File, Open, and enter a filename, then click on Open, I get a "File Not Found" dialog box. I can scroll through the list, and pick the file from the list and it will open, or, when I enter the filename, If I'm quick enough to down arrow when the filename.ext appears to highlight the filename, it will open. This is a recent problem. I was always able to enter a filename(and, if it is actually in the file folder), click Open, to open the part/assy/drawing. I am on SW2009 sp0.

I always thought you had to have the enter filename typed in to have SW find it ("name.slddrw/prt/asm"). If you type in just the filename, and not extension, but there's both a drawing and/or part and/or assembly file, how will SW know what you are asking it to open?
