Hi

I've a problem with the sketch I've joined. I want to create an equation to drive the radius. The total length of the circle and the 2 tangent lines should be equal to the lg_tresse dimension, knowing that the D4 and D5 dimension could change.

If somebody can help me, it would be great.

Sorry but you don't answer my question.

Tony: the two dimensions D4 and D5 should be driving dimension and not driven as you've done

Deepak: the problem is when you change the radius and update the sketch, the total length is not equal to lg_tresse.....

Finally, I've approximate the radius for each config and that do the trick.I think that I can't find an equation because I've more than one variable....

Nice additional linked dimensions.

You need to add a few other dimensions and use them in your equation. See attachment. You probably need to check which dimensions you want driven vs. driving. And test your sketch after creating your equation. I had unexpected results, but it worked according to the driven/driving dimensions.

Use the reference dimensions (gray color) and subtract them from the lg_tresse dimension in your equation. FYI - In order to place the arc [D1] dimension, pick the endpoints then the arc. Hope this helps
