Software OpenGL option grayed out and unchangeable

I can't change the System Options-Performance Software OpenGL option. It is chaned as set on and grayed out. How can I get access to this and make a change. When I look at the SolidWorks Rx the Diagnostics shows the wrong graphics card. It lists a GDI Generic but the computer system lists the NVidia Quradro FW 5500 that I have installed. Can anyone tell me how the correct this graphics card problem?
