I am trying to apply a woodgrain appearance to some surfaces of a part, and have it show up in the assembly.  Not having any luck.  The image shows the first level assembly, with the part file shown below.  I can apply the appearance in the part just fine, but can't get it to carry through to the assembly.  Nor can I apply face appearances in the assembly itself.  They just don't show up.  Any thoughts, or can you tell anything from the tree in the image?
