I have myself created material. In the material editor there is a tab for "appearance". But I dont like the colors of the standard materials at the tab. I would like to use my own colors for my material. is it possible to create a custom color ?

our materialfile (specialmaterial.sldmat) is located at the server and linked in the systemoptions at the filelocations. we would like to choose our material with our custom appearance and link it.but it is not possible to add custome appearance (p2m files) to the appearance folder in the materialfolder. just textures are possible.
do you have any solution.

Hey Chris,
This isn't too bad, look at the jbg I have attached and see if that helps. I do this quite a lot for different materials that I need.
In the creation of new materials, you can change your color and many other options in the "Color/Image" tab. When you hit the advanced button in appearances mode, you get 4 tabs (mapping, illumination, Surface Finish, Color/Image)
