Adding holes to a part in the flat across a bend, and then folding the part back up...

I have a Sheet Metal part that is a piece of metal with a slight curve. I created it simply by extruding from a curved line derived from reference geometry in an assembly sketch.

I can unfold and fold up the part no problem.

What I need to do is unfold the part, add some holes to it in the flat, and fold it back up so the holes twist with the curve of the part. Obviously the problem is that if I unsupress the Flat-Pattern at the end of the feature tree, anything I add from that point on will disappear once the Flat-Pattern feature is re-supressed.

What is the correct way to do this?
