Hi guys,
I'm the ICT Technician for a secondary school and we are having no luck getting solidworks 2009 installed on our network running server 2003
Basically, we install the License Administrator software on our main domain controller server, which has the dongle plugged in. The installation runs smoothly, we choose the port for the license to broadcast on etc.
Then when you run the license administrator and go to the "license usage" tab, we get the error message
"Could not get information from this server"
and as expected, the software doesn't run on the client machines either, a license error appears.
Now I thought this could have been a firewall issue that wasnt configured correctly during installation, but our network doesnt run an internal firewall!! We are really confused, and any help would be much appreciated
Thanks!
