Thanks Josh. Is there a way I can group the parts I don't
need to show in the BOM and deselect their visibility as a group
instead of toggling one by one?
This is the method I use and it works perfect. In the assembly, I click on the things in the tree that I do not want in the BOM, RMC, Component Properties, Exclude from Bill of Materials.

You can drag down the lines you don't want in you BOM and the
selct them all and exclude them all together
Though this button exists on the Revision Table, as well, clicking Hide/Show merely grayscales the rest of the properties to its left and right on the toolbar, but doesn't make the row disappear. I even checked the print preview.
I've submitted this exact thing as an ER three times over the last few years. It is in their system as SPR 542195. I have many reasons I would like to use this functionality. There is more discussion of in this thread here (https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/48753). I hope we can get some traction on this issue.
SW will not add the excluded items to the Bill.

How do you get items back that you've hidden in the BOM? I've hidden items and the only i could find to get them back was recreate the BOM.

How do you do either way? I have SW2006.
Thanks.
